Exploring Cappadocia

Cappadocia is a dream come true for history buffs such as myself. It combines the excitement of finding something precious and unique for oneself with a strong sense of connection with the past.

The director Werner Herzog was once asked why he insisted on filming all his movies on location, even when doing so made production nearly impossible (not to mention outrageously expensive). His answer was "the voodoo of the place".

After staying in Cappadocia, I think there may be some truth to this statement.
