Cairo, I do love you (even if you did mutilate my favorite pair of jeans), but I'm young, restless, and there are adventures to be had elsewhere.
So armed with my new $9 daypack, $1 sunglasses, and a soap entitled "Passion: Provocation," I'm off to the Namibian town of Aswan, in the far south of Egypt (confusingly called 'Upper Egypt').
From there I can explore Lake Nasser and the Egypt-Sudanese border, or take a boat up the Nile towards Luxor (from where my flight departs next Wednesday).
